WATCHMEN ON THE WALLS EVENT & SPIRITUAL HERITAGE TOUR OF U.S. CAPITOL

When I was informed about the Watchmen on the Walls event for Pastors, I was somehow reserved about attending. But after a while, I decided to attend. I think it is worthwhile. The event of tonight was an eye-opener for me. The most outstanding of it all was the Spiritual Heritage Tour of the U.S. Capitol. Truly, America has a very rich spiritual heritage. In one of our tours tonight, we were made aware that many pastors were involved historically in the shaping of America. It was indicated that there are 106 statutes in the U.S. Capitol. Each state supplied 2 of the statutes. It was also reported that about 25% of of the 106 statutes were pastors. We inspected some of the images of the original documents for US independence and the like. Some of the original leaders signed their names to the documents with an inscription: "in the year of our Lord". In fact, one of the early leaders went to to include the inscription: "in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ." Also, I learned that originally, worship was conducted on the premises of US capitol. There are many things that I learned for the first time tonight. I thank God for America. God bless America. I pray that America will remain committed to the ideals and spiritual heritage upon which this nation was founded. Here are some of the pictures that I took tonight.
