PRAYER POINTS FOR 3RD DAY OF FASTING AND PRAYER

Thursday September 29.
Prayer Points:
·       Read 1 Samuel 30:1-8; Joel 2:25.

1 Samuel 30:1–8 (NKJV)
30    Now it happened, when David and his men came to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire, 2 and had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way. 3 So David and his men came to the city, and there it was, burned with fire; and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive. 4 Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep. 5 And David’s two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the widow of Nabal the Carmelite, had been taken captive. 6 Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.
7 Then David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, “Please bring the ephod here to me.” And Abiathar brought the ephod to David. 8 So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?”
And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.

Joel 2:25 (NKJV)
25 “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten,
    The crawling locust,
    The consuming locust,
    And the chewing locust,
My great army which I sent among you.

·       Pray that God will restore your lost fortunes. Pray that God will meet you in a new way during this Divine Restoration Conference.

·       Read Ephesians 6:19.

Ephesians 6:19 (NKJV)
19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,

·       Pray for Rev. John Akinyemi that God would use him to meet your spiritual needs during this revival. Pray for anointing on him and everyone participating in this Divine Restoration Conference. Pray for the theme of the conference and the relevance of it to everyone who attends the services. The theme is: "A TIME OF RESTORATION" (1Samuel 30:8)...“Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.

·       Read John 8:32.

John 8:32 (NKJV)
32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

·       Pray that the truth of the gospel will come forth and that those in bondage will receive liberty during this revival meeting.

·       Read 2 Corinthians 10:4.

2 Corinthians 10:4 (NKJV)
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

·       Pray and ask God to pull down all strongholds against this ministry and this revival meeting in Jesus name.

·       Read 2 Kings 6:1-7.

2 Kings 6:1–7 (NKJV)
6      And the sons of the prophets said to Elisha, “See now, the place where we dwell with you is too small for us. 2 Please, let us go to the Jordan, and let every man take a beam from there, and let us make there a place where we may dwell.”
So he answered, “Go.”
3 Then one said, “Please consent to go with your servants.”
And he answered, “I will go.” 4 So he went with them. And when they came to the Jordan, they cut down trees. 5 But as one was cutting down a tree, the iron ax head fell into the water; and he cried out and said, “Alas, master! For it was borrowed.”
6 So the man of God said, “Where did it fall?” And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float. 7 Therefore he said, “Pick it up for yourself.” So he reached out his hand and took it.

·       Pray that the same power that retrieved the lost axe-head will work on your behalf and fulfill God’s agenda in your life during this ministration in Jesus name.

Pray for Pastor John as he will be preaching two week-long revivals in Kaduna and Ibadan Nigeria in the month of October. Please pray for traveling mercies for him. Pray for ceaseless divine anointing as he ministers in those churches. Pray for his protection and the proclamation of the word of God in the two churches. Pray that God would use him mightily for His own glory.

DAY 2 OF THREE DAYS OF FASTING AND PRAYER

DAY 2 OF THREE DAYS OF FASTING AND PRAYER

Wednesday September 28.
·       Read Isa 42:8-9.

Isaiah 42:8–9 (NKJV)
8   I am the Lord, that is My name;
And My glory I will not give to another,
Nor My praise to carved images.
9   Behold, the former things have come to pass,
    And new things I declare;
Before they spring forth I tell you of them.”

·       Pray that God’s promises concerning you will be fulfilled in Jesus name. Pray for completion of uncompleted projects and for uncommon breakthroughs for you and your family.

·       Read 1 Kings 17:7-16.

1 Kings 17:7–16 (NKJV)
7 And it happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
8 Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 9 “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.” 10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, “Please bring me a little water in a cup, that I may drink.” 11 And as she was going to get it, he called to her and said, “Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.”
12 So she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.”
13 And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son. 14 For thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.’ ”
15 So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days. 16 The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah.

·       Just like the widow of Zarephath was singled out for a miracle, pray that God brings about your uncommon miracle this month in Jesus name.

·       Pray for Rev. John Akinyemi that God will use him mightily during this revival meeting. Pray that God use our Praise team and other people on the program mightily for the glory of God.

·       Pray for the success and an atmosphere of a ceaseless divine anointing in this revival meeting.

·       Read John 12:32.

John 12:32 (NKJV)
32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”

·       Pray for high attendance throughout and beyond the time of the revival meeting. Pray that God adds more to our church family as we exalt His name.

MR. HAROLD CAMPING GOT IT WRONG--"NO ONE KNOWS THE HOUR"

MR. HAROLD CAMPING GOT IT WRONG--"NO ONE KNOWS THE HOUR"

Harold Camping is dead wrong with his May 21 day of judgment campaign. He is a heretic that should not be taken seriously. He has given a false prediction before and he will be proven wrong this time also. He is a man who has a craving for cheap publicity. His biblical exegesis and interpretive method is questionable. One wonders why anyone in his or her right mind would adhere to his teachings. His May 21 prediction for the Day of Judgment is based on shallow Bible study and faulty exegetical idea. Here is what the Bible Says, which is not consonant with Mr. Camping's teachings: (Mat 24:36-37 NIV) "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. {37} As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

Mr. Camping should be aware that the Bible frowns at people like him, who teaches other doctrines that are not in line with sound doctrine. Apostle Paul Writes the following to the Galatians and it is relevant in this case as well.
(Gal 1:6-9 NIV)  I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel-- {7} which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. {8} But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! {9} As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!

Let us wait and see how Mr. Camping will defend his theological assumptions, when he is proven wrong on May 22. The Bible says:
(Deu 18:22 NIV)  If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him.

(Jer 23:34 NIV)  If a prophet or a priest or anyone else claims, 'This is the oracle of the LORD,' I will punish that man and his household.

After it is all said and done, I think we should all pray for Mr. Harold Camping. And on a more serious note, it is probable that he would benefit from a consultation with a psychiatrist.
