This is the Time to Decide
Memory Verse: Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV) But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

First, The Reasons Why Some People Fall Away:
John 6:60; 64–65;1 Corinthians 1:18

1.     Some people desert Jesus because they found his teachings so difficult to assimilate.
2.     Some depart from Jesus because they found his teachings unacceptable.

“I have discovered that this is frequently true of those who drop out of church: they are bothered when difficult doctrines are taught.”—Ray Stedman
3.     Others also fall away from Jesus because of unbelief. John 6:64–65
4.     Some other people fall away because they have not been drawn by the father in heaven in the first place. John 6:65
5.     Some people fall away from Jesus because they love the world more than they love Jesus. 2 Timothy 4:10

6.     Some people desert Jesus because they are not willing to sacrifice for Jesus. Luke 9:57–62
7.     Some people fall away because they took offence at the teachings of Christ. John 6:61

Second, the Negative Implication for Deserting Jesus
Hebrews 6:4–6

1. It is like leaving certainty for uncertainty. John 14:6 Acts 4:12
2. Going away from Jesus is like leaving the light for darkness. Luke 6:39
3. Going away from Jesus is like exchanging one’s destiny with destruction. John 3:16

“Entering Eternity Without Putting on the Lord Jesus Christ is Dangerous to Your Future.”-- Peter Guirguis

Third, A Strong Case for Following Jesus John 6:67–69
1.     No one else is compared to Jesus Christ.

2.     No one has the word of eternal life like Jesus Christ.

3.     We believe and we know that Jesus is the Holy one of God.

Conclusion: John 6:68–69
