INTRODUCTION:
1 Corinthians 3:1–4 (NKJV)

“The task of the ministry is the sowing of the seed, the cultivating of the soil, the watering of the plants, and the harvesting of the fruit.” Warren Wiersbe

First, Our ministries must begin with God who gave life to our efforts and ministry.

1 Corinthians 3:5

Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Second, Everyone is needed in ministry.

1 Corinthians 3:6 (NKJV) 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.

1 Corinthians 12:1–11

Third, We must be humble as we serve the Lord.

1 Corinthians 3:6–7

Fourth,  we are not Competitors but collaborators in Ministry

1 Corinthians 3:8 (NKJV) 8 Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

Proverbs 24:30–34

Fifth, we should realize that we are responsible to God.
1 Corinthians 3:9 (NKJV) 9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.

Sixth, We must understand that we are Accountable to God.
1 Corinthians 3:12–13
Romans 14:12 (NKJV) 12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.

2 Corinthians 5:10 (NKJV) 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

1 Corinthians 4:5

Seventh, We must Treasure the Grace of God that we enjoy

2 Corinthians 6:1–2

2 Corinthians 13:5 (NKJV) 5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.

Isaiah 55:6

2 Corinthians 11:4 (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 15:2

Greek: kenon--empty, without content, without result, useless

2 Corinthians 11:2–3 (NKJV) 2 For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
